We invite you to join us to write letters on behalf of our immigrant neighbors at the November meeting of Allies of Knoxville’s Immigrant Neighbors this Wednesday, November 20, 5:30pm, at St James Episcopal Church, 1101 N. Broadway, Knoxville, 37917.
We will write to Gov. Lee to urge that Tennessee continue to be a welcoming state for refugees. (He makes a decision by December 25!) We will also have resources to write letters to the editor on that topic.
IN THE SPIRIT OF THE HOLIDAYS, we will also write to asylum seekers held in ICE detention. Spanish-speakers will be available to help! We will also have updates on local immigration justice activities.
